Authors: Rothauser, E. H.; Urbanek, G.

AES Convention 31 · Paper 488 · October 1966

Abstract

Subjective tests are necessary to measure quality, intelligibility and loudness of speech signals. The tests may require evaluation or comparison of widely different signals. Undesired variations in the data obtained may be caused by different instructions to the listeners, learning effects, and the selection of listeners. Standardization of test procedures will aid to make results of different tests more compatible.
