AB - As the technological capabilities for presentation and encoding/decoding of multichannel audio signals/programs increase, most of the concern is devoted to the technical aspects of the process. For any technology to be truly successful, it must supply the user with an experience or capability unobtainable through any previous technology incarnation. This paper examines those issues.
