AB - The circuit topologies of audio electronics that have been judged to have good sound quality in open-loop subjective tests are examined to identify any consistently recurring attribute of the designs that might be responsible for their claimed sonic superiority. No such topological feature was identified, thus confirming the results of controlled listening tests, which show these devices to have no sonic signature.
