AB - Sounds usually occur in mixtures. Auditory scene analysis is a perceptual process that parses the complex input into one or more experienced stream of sounds. It groups components sequentially and simultaneously using cues that indicate that subsets of them have arisen from the same environmental source. All basic perceptual qualities of sound, including loudness and location, depend on this grouping.
