New Techniques in Analyzing the Digital Audio Interface

Authors: Blair, Ian; Dennis, Ian; Dunn, Julian; Spencer, Eric

AES Convention 92 · Paper 3230 · March 1992

Abstract

The growth of digital interfacing for audio equipment has exposed potentially subtle problems which can be difficult to analyze with commonly available equipment. More complicated test gear is unwieldy for field use. A small analyzer has been developed to assist in diagnosis of such problems with swift go/no-go indication as well as quantitative measurement of re-levant parameters.
