Time for Digital Audio within Television

Authors: Bensberg, G.

AES Convention 92 · Paper 3258 · March 1992

Abstract

Digital audio is now being used extensively within television studios. This can cause problems to broadcasters who need to maintain the relative timing between audio and video signals throughout the production cycle. This paper explores through case studies how good system design and use of the AES channel status information can ensure that the video and audio end up at the correct place at the correct time!
