Authors: Logsdon, Ed

AES Conference: 13th International Conference: Computer-Controlled Sound Systems · Paper 13-015 · December 1994

Abstract

The voice paging system for the new Denver International Airport is designed to provide general and emergency voice evacuation paging throughout the six-building complex. The concept of fault-tolerant system design is presented showing the use of distributed intelligence, self-testing, automatic amplifier failure detection and replacement, and backup power to the control hardware.
