AB - Through a brief introduction of the history of acoustics and the methods acousticians use to analyze noise, vibration and sound in architectural spaces, a new computer program is introduced which provides a powerful design tool for acoustical analysis. The program includes instantaneous octave band analysis of reverberation time (RT60) and sound transmission loss in addition to other useful applications through informative and accurate, enhanced color graphics. The program uses an extensive, user adaptable materials selection database on which complete analysis is based.
