Authors: Redlich, Horst; Joschko, Guenter

AES Convention 81 · Paper 2372 · November 1986

Abstract

Described will be a more efficient method of producing Compact Disc pressing masters and stampers. This new technology allows stampers to be produced more directly, avoids complicated and sensitive steps during their production, and eliminates the need for a clean-room environment. The necessary initial investments are much lower than those required for the currently used laser mastering method.
