AB - Research into the acoustical properties of highly directional (shotgun) microphones used in motion picture, theater, and TV studio applications are described. Particular attention is given to the off-axis frequency response performance. This research has resulted in the design of a new high-quality shotgun microphone wit significantly reduced off-axis comb-filter effects.
