A Time-Code Editing/Synchronizing System for Audio Tape Machines Using Microprocessor Technology

Authors: Armfield, Stephen C.

AES Convention 55 · Paper 1173 · October 1976

Abstract

A system using programmable logic for the purpose of time-code tape editing is described. Reasons for initially choosing a microprocessor approach are discussed, as are certain hidden problems encountered during development. Finally, a presentation of the available system features demonstrates the added flexibility afforded by the central processing unit.
