AB - The research started studying the mobile devices abilities and limits to perform an environmental noise analysis using the internal microphone recording. Perceptual masking algorithms have been implemented to specifically modify natural sounds for the analyzed noise. Then sound pleasantness algorithms have been applied to obtain better masking sounds. This set-up is being extended to the masking of tinnitus: the tinnitus frequency selection is being proposed to the user through sine-sweep listening.
