AB  - A 50 W/4 ohm complementary symmetry audio amplifier concept is described. The amplifier is designed to meet ultimate quality requirements with particular emphasis on lack of transient intermodulation distortion. Excellent phase and amplitude linearity is obtained using low feedback value, class A operation for most of the signal time, and a fully symmetric dc-coupled high frequency design.
