AB - This paper will look at a number of examples of remote broadcasts over contended IP links and examine the key points in their success. We will talk about issues such as jitter and latency and considerations regarding essential features on IP codec equipment. The experiences of major European broadcasters trialing audio over the Public Internet will form the basis of a discussion of the pitfalls and possibilities associated with using the Public Internet for essential broadcast links.
