Broadband Equalization of Small Meeting Rooms-Is There a Common Denominator?

Authors: Queen, Daniel

AES Convention 35 · Paper 618 · October 1968

Abstract

Individual equalization of sound reinforcement systems in large auditoriums has become accepted practice. Nevertheless, the small public room-often dependent upon portable equipment or low budget installations-is subject to the characteristics of the components used. Acoustical measurements of a variety of such rooms yields some typical characteristics for which a compromise equalization may be demonstrated.
