Authors: Jaffe, Christopher

AES Convention 37 · Paper 696 · October 1969

Abstract

Discussion of electronic and acoustic design as they relate to sound reinforcement for the performing arts in the music pavilion. Sound reinforcement system requirements for symphony orchestra, musical theatre, and pop and rock programming in the space, based on the current use of such a facility, will be reviewed. Examples of system philosophy as implemented this year at the Mississippi River Festival and Ravinia Music Festival will be described.
