AB - After the best -take- has been clipped out of an original session tape reel, it is desirable to bulk erase the remaining tape for re-use. A dropout detector unit has been designed to detect poor splices, tape damage, etc., to assure that the tape is in good condition. Design details are described, along with a discussion of the practical application consideration.
