AB - Comprehensive designs of sound systems, recording studios, and architectural acoustics are often not fully achieved because the designer does not have access to a computer system to handle complex, lengthy and repetitious calculations. The use of a full-function programmable and portable scientific calculator system with readily available software is described. Several examples are given where complex calculations are performed with the use of a single key on the calculator. Results of calculations can be sorted and plotted, allowing more rapid use by the designer.
