AB - A source-independent technique to measure accurately the amplitude and phase response of sound systems in concert halls is discussed. Measurements may be made during live performances or events, using music or voice as the test signals. Correlation is shown between the impulse response and the results obtained using music signals. An equalizer which corrects for many rooms resonances in both amplitude and phase simultaneously has been developed. The effect of this equalizer on concert systems in an existing venue is shown.
