AB - Mass production of eight-track continuous-loop players is dependent upon parallel automotive developments. The automotive environment with its conditions of temperature, vibration, humidity, and reduced space is much more hostile to tape equipment than the more usual home application. Special contributions in the fields of design specifications, test methods, packaging, and speaker developments have been necessary to make automotive stereo tape commercially acceptable.
