AB - The main specifications of the algorithms of digital audio data compression in MPEG and ATSC standards, which include the most new hybrid methods that combines itself the advantages of parametric and sub band coding, are considered. On the basis of above analysis, a common structural diagram of a coder with digital audio data compression is given. The procedure of the audio data processing in the blocks of time-frequency segmentation, entropy coding, and psychoacoustic analysis will be discussed. The special attention will be focused to the procedure of audio data processing in the psychoacoustic analysis block and directions of its implementations.
