Real Voice Microphone Calibration as a Utility Laboratory Method

Authors: Snow, William B.

AES Convention 17 · Paper 382 · October 1965

Abstract

In the testing of close-talking or noise-cancelling microphones, real-voice calibrations are a virtual necessity. Real-voice methods can be used, in addition, for comparison calibrations satisfactory for many engineering purposes using readily available test equipment. The paper shows calibrations of this type to emphasize the utility of the method.
