AB - Mass production of 8-track continuous loop tape players is dependent upon parallel automotive developments. The automotive environment with its conditions of temperature, vibration, humidity, and reduced space is much more hostile to tape equipment than the more usual home application. Unique contributions in the form of design specifications, test methods, packaging, and speaker developments have been necessary to make this new automotive product commercially acceptable.
