A Comparison of Multifunction Device Designs

Multifunction devices for mobile phones serve as a loudspeaker for speech and audio incoming call alert and as a device for vibration call alert. Several mechanical configurations for multifunction devices are compared with each other and against traditional, discrete components. The tradeoffs in performance versus size reduction and assembly simplicity are given.:
