Quality and synchronization criteria must be met in order to achieve a required level of subjective performance from multimedia products and services. A series of experiments have been conducted using different types of audio/visual content, to provide the data required to model quality and synchronization perception. This paper presents selected results from these experiments to illustrate temporal asymmetry and content dependency in synchronization detection.
