This paper describes a digital microphone based upon an array of transducers and digital signal processors. The signals provided by 12 electrets are sampled at 48 kHz and fed into an array of digital filters to provide a single digital stream. The paper analyses the microphone performance: directivity and ability to enhance the direct to diffuse ratio.
