One of the most important tasks in the recovery of deaf people is the choice of an adequate cochlear implant. The elaborated Multimedia Cochlear Implantation Database is an experimental software that allows to find the characteristics of cochlear implant device properly matching individual patients' needs. The multimedia-oriented database was engineered in order to ease this task at the preoperative stage of patients' examination. The key issues related to the engineered system will be presented in the paper.
