Optical Microphone`s Breakthrough

This paper discusses the known principles of building an optical microphone transducer. It also describes bubble-sized measurements and Phone-Or`s light transducer principle, its specifics and distance resolution. The paper discusses the optical microphone`s specifications including the basics and characteristics; diaphragm specifics and its acoustical characteristics; noise, sensitivity, dynamic range, frequency and directional characteristics; and response to humidity, EMI, and RFI.
