FM Stereo Broadcasting imposes new technical requirements and procedures at the transmitter and studio. The present lack of an approved FM station monitor for stereo broadcasting calls for interim methods to cope with problems from this cause; this paper presents a discussion of this new system as reduced to practice. A method for measuring transmitter pilot phase departure is considered, and a suggestion for oscilloscope program content monitoring is offered.
