The usual method of distortion measurement for an amplifier in loop involves breaking the loop, which means changing the dc conditions. This paper presents a new method for distortion measurement of a booster amplifier with a feedback loop. The method is presented using an NE5534 amplifier, monitoring the stability by observation of the phase response.:
