A means of achieving a specific diffusion characteristic is proposed that uses modulation of existing diffusion structures with other sequences to achieve the desired diffusion pattern. The theory, design, advantages, and limitations of these structures will be discussed and simulation results of their performance will be presented. The technique results in diffusion structures which have specific diffusion patterns but which can be implemented easily using existing diffusors.
