AB - Mixer systems, in which processors are remote from control panels, release designers from many major constraints. System sizes and functionality need not be limited by the amount of electronics beneath the control panel, or congestion due to ever smaller knobs and buttons above it. The approach described, termed -positive assignability,- aims to help establish new levels of facilities and creativity.
