Abstract

The discussion of the next digital audio format has started, mainly driven by the availability of large-capacity, high-speed storage media. Such a new format should be more flexible than the current system and should cover a frequency range equivalent to that of current analog equipment. In the paper this new format based on high-speed 1-bit delta-sigma modulation is discussed.
