Abstract

A computer program for modeling of loudspeaker diaphragm vibration and sound radiation is presented. Finite-element method is used for calculation of vibration and the boundary-element method is used for calculation of sound radiation. The interaction between vibration and radiated acoustic field is taken into account. A diaphragm can be actuated by a force, as in a dynamic loudspeaker, or by moment, as in a piezoelectric loudspeaker.
