Abstract

In this paper the results of absorption coefficient measurements using a sound intensity technique are presented. Samples with different absorbing properties were used during the experiments. The results of the perforated panels gave a clear indication that the thinner panel had better absorbing properties. Results obtained showed advantages over the impedance tube method. The limitations and accuracy of this method are discussed.
