Transaural systems are thus far able to reproduce convincing virtual images through loudspeakers for single listeners. A more difficult task is to reproduce these desired signals for multiple listeners simultaneously. This paper examines the performance of various arrangements of the transaural system that reproduce synthesized virtual images all around. Subjective and objective measurements reveal the limitations of successful reproduction due to digital filter design and physical constraints as a result of geometry of loudspeakers and listeners.
