Z Language: A New DSP Dedicated Programming Environment

This paper describes a new programming language, designed to facilitate modelling and testing of DSP algorithms. The unique features of the language are summarized and a comparison to available alternatives is given. Practical examples in noise reduction, artificial reverberation algorithms, and reconstruction of signals distorted by digital clipping are presented.
