AB  - The notion of sound quality is frequently used in the domain of sound engineering, yet without precise definition, what often causes difficulties at testing sound systems, etc. A new approach is proposed by introducing a definition of sound-image quality, related to the accuracy of localization of sound sources. It is pointed out that this approach is justified from both theoretical and practical points of view.
