Equalization of Loudspeaker Drive Units Considering Both On- and Off-Axis Responses

This paper describes digital filters designed to equalize individual loudspeaker drive units. The method, which is based on an application of the least-squares algorithm, is designed to minimize the energy error for both on- and off-axis responses. Results form computer simulation and measurement of a real-time implementation are presented.
