The Application of Noise Shaping for an All-Digital Audio Power Amplifier

Results from simulations of the performance of new topologies for digital audio power amplifiers are presented. Digital pulse width modulation is used in conjunction with noise shaping techniques to convert digital audio data directly into analog power. Simple second order systems are analyzed with the aim of determining appropriate system parameters for the construction of a prototype.
