Differences in the Perceived Quality of Loudspeaker Sound Reproduction Caused by Loudspeaker-Room-Listener Interactions

The paper reports the results of investigations aiming at a quantitative description of the influence the loudspeaker-room-listener interactions have on the perceived quality of the reproduced sound. It is shown that the loudspeaker-room interactions are very decisive for the perceived quality. Furthermore, it is shown how possible influences, from the loudspeaker/room-listener interactions on the perceived sound quality, can be investigated by properly designed listening tests.
