Despite the proliferation of high quality measurement instrumentation, for the sound system technician on the road or the installer at the site, the cose, accessibility, ease-of-use, and understanding of in-the-field signal alignment still remain problematic. The development and use of new methods of signal alignment measurement for both delayed speaker systems and components within a cluster with the benefits of low cost, simplicity in concept, repeatability, and twenty microsecond (20ms) resolution are described.
