AB - A simple motion transducer is described which provides an analogue of voice coil position, and a novel design feature yields good linearity over a useful span. Its output may be used directly for excursion limiting and digital correction of motor nonlinearites. Integration of the position output enables precise mean-position control in high compliance drivers. Differentiation of the position output provides velocity feedback.
