AB - The advantages of digital audio relative to analog audio have resulted in the increasing application of digital audio in the television industry. The practical considerations which must be observed when using digital audio in a primarily video environment are discussed. Topics discussed include editing, digital signal distribution and routing, bit rate conversion, format conversion, and audio delay relative to video. Technical details are expounded where necessary to explain these considerations.
