Computer-aided design has been used to optimize the crossover networks of some of the most widely acclaimed loudspeakers. The CAD method presented can be implemented by even small manufacturers. It uses recent developments from the fields of automated network analysis and optimization techniques to yield an algorithm which substantially improves on those previously described in the literature.
