Cross Correlation Criteria for Determining the Artificial Reverberation Quality

Authors: Czyzewski, Andrzej

AES Convention 82 · Paper 2442 · March 1987

Abstract

The most modern digital electronic reverberators permit to produce programmable early reflections. Problems of a proper selection of early reflections delays and levels have not yet been solved definitively. Herewith, new cross-correlation criteria of artificial reverberation quality have been proposed and in practice verified. The criteria allow to access reverberator programs structure regarding the processed signal properties.
