The general application of an inductively coupled shorted turn to loudspeakers is described and analyzed, with specific reference to the dual coil inductively coupled loudspeaker system. The system dynamic behavior is evaluated using a mathematical model and an electrical equivalent circuit incorporating the shorted turn, with the experimental results presented confirming the overall system characteristics.
