Piezoelectric PVDF films are suitable, among others, for the construction of electroacoustic transducers. Since the discovery of the piezoelectricity in such films many investigations have been carried out. The present lecture gives a survey about the properties and possibilities for the application of this material for the construction of transducers for the audio-frequency range.
