CSEAS: Computer Aided Sound Effects System

This paper describes the function and operation of CSEAS, a computer aided sound effects system for theaters.: CSEAS basically provides sound effects, which have already been recorded on five tapes recorders, by controlling the selection of the tape recorders for each scene. Further, if other sound effects are necessary, they can be selected from the external output terminals. CSEAS performs cut in and cut out as well as fade in and fade out of the sound sources from the required position and at the required sound levels for the stage, and plays back up to 500 scenes based on the recorded data.
