Advanced Editing Features From Direct Access Media

Authors: McNally, Guy W.

AES Conference: UK 1st Conference: Sound with Pictures (SWP) · Paper SWP-B3 · May 1988

Abstract

The term Digital Audio Workstation is being increasingly used to describe a machine which supports direct access media and digital signal processing. However in a post-production environment many additional features must be added to justify the name. The paper discusses these and uses relevant examples based on the Digital Audio Research Soundstation II.
